Prescriptions

To place a request for a prescription, click on the SystmOnline icon below. Alternatively, if you have another type of administrative query, such as requiring a sicknote, please use our e-consultation platform, Accurx, also found below. Details on how to get accounts for these systems can be found here.
Prescription Process

We recommend patients submit a Prescription request when they have 7 days worth of medication remaining. If the system thinks you have submitted one too early than your request may be rejected, in which case we will contact you via text or phone to inform you.

Once you have submitted your prescription request please allow 48 hours* (not including weekends) for the Practice to process it. Following this your prescription will be ready for collection from reception, or will be sent to your nominated Pharmacy, if you have chosen for them to be sent to them electronically. If you currently don't have your prescriptions sent electonically and wish to do so, please speak to the Pharmacy you wish to have as your nominated Pharmacy.

On occasions medication not on repeat can take longer to process. If this is the case or if there are any other issues affecting your request then we will contact you to inform you. It is important that if you are on long term medication you have annual medication reviews so please book an appointment if one is required. Delays in having these reviews may mean we have to hold off providing your medication on safety grounds.

*Please note: The 48 hours does not include any time it will take for the Pharmacy to process the prescription once we have sent it to them. Therefore, please take this into account when going to collect your medication from them. We recommend that you contact your Pharmacy after the 48 hours to ensure they have received the prescription and so they can give you a timeline of when you can collect it from them.
