FLU CLINICS 2018

INFORMATION REGARDING THIS YEAR'S CLINICS

This year sees a big change in the administration of influenza vaccines from previous years. This is because there are two types of vaccines this year.

- The Adjuvanted Trivalent Flu vaccine is new this year and is for patients 65 years and over

- The Quadrivalent vaccine is for patients between 18-64 who are at risk i.e. Diabetic, COPD, pregnant etc.

The criteria of who is eligible for an influenza vaccine has not changed. Due to the different vaccines, all of the clinics will be organised for one age group at a time, to ensure patient safety.
